How to Search Cases by Name
Stewart County offers no free public search box. You cannot type a name and pull court cases there. Instead, Georgia E-Access points Stewart Superior Court users to PeachCourt, and PeachCourt wants a login. Its help pages describe a Cases search. That search runs on county, court, and an exact case number. There is also a Users search for names, emails, partial entries, or bar numbers. That tool is just an account directory. It is not a way to look up a court case by name.
- Identify Superior, Probate, Magistrate, Lumpkin Municipal, Richland Municipal, Juvenile, or federal court from the notice.
- Use Georgia Courts E-Access to confirm Stewart Superior Court’s approved provider.
- Sign in to PeachCourt and use the proper Cases or Filings route. Do not use the Users directory as if it were a case search.
- If only a name is known and the interface does not support the needed query, call or visit the clerk that keeps that case class.
- Provide a middle name, filing range, party role, or case type when known, but do not infer that no online match means no case exists.
The official directory spells out the routing for court records access. View the Georgia Courts E-Access source used for Stewart County routing.

The directory shows the core limit plainly. E-Access hands you off to a provider; it does not return Stewart County case results itself.
Stewart Case Search Account Gate
Before a real Stewart County Superior Court case lookup can happen, PeachCourt puts an account gate in front of you. Signing up costs nothing. The registration form asks for last name, first name, email twice, password twice, a secret-question choice, a secret answer, reCAPTCHA, and acceptance of terms. Even after registering, document access can still carry charges. See the PeachCourt registration source and its current fields.

So a sign-up form appearing is normal, not a sign the Stewart County route broke. Field requirements can change, so trust the live form.
| Observed field | Type | Required | Search meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| First and last name | Text | Account form | Creates the user profile, not a case query |
| Email and confirmation | Account form | Identifies the account | |
| Password and confirmation | Password | Account form | Controls login |
| Secret question and answer | Select and text | Account form | Supports account security |
| reCAPTCHA and terms | Verification | Account form | Completes registration |
How to Search by Case Number
The case number is the best online key you can hold. PeachCourt's Cases path matches county, court, and a case number in exact format. Copy the identifier exactly as printed, punctuation and leading zeros included. Keep the full value in a note such as Case number exactly as issued. No single safe Stewart pattern spans every court class. Inventing a year or case-type format would only mislead you.
When a number fails, first confirm it truly belongs to Stewart Superior Court. Then tell it apart from a Peach filing number, a traffic citation number, or a federal number. The Filings route wants the exact Peach number alone. It will not substitute for the Cases route. Ask the clerk to identify the number type instead of stripping characters at random.
Stewart Cases Versus Filings
PeachCourt splits its tools into two paths. Cases finds the court matter once you have the county, court, and exact case number. Filings finds a transaction by its exact Peach number. Put one identifier in the wrong path and you may get a blank result, even though the Stewart County case exists.
| Route | Input | Best use | Common failure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cases | County, court, exact case number | Open the case record | Wrong court or altered punctuation |
| Filings | Exact Peach number | Find a filing transaction | Using the local case number |
| Users | Name, email, partial value, or bar number | Find a registered user | Treating a user as a court case |

The screen marks the account boundary you must cross before using the provider's Stewart County case tools.
Stewart County Case Number Checks
Keep every zero, dash, and letter from the court notice intact. If PeachCourt rejects the number, confirm the court before touching the value. A Stewart County citation number, Peach number, local case number, and federal number each serve a different system. The clerk can tell you which one you hold.
What a Case Search Shows
A PeachCourt criminal case page can show the assigned judge, status, co-defendants, prosecuting and defense attorneys, charges, disposition and its date, calendar events, proceedings, and document links. Fields and image depth vary by court. A result row or docket entry only describes recorded activity. It does not prove each allegation.
| Case number | The court identifier; preserve punctuation and leading zeros. |
|---|---|
| Style or parties | The caption or abbreviated names tied to the case. |
| Judge and court | The assigned judicial officer and Stewart court class. |
| Status | An open, closed, disposed, or other label that must be read with later entries. |
| Calendar events | Planned settings, not proof that the hearing occurred. |
| Proceedings and documents | Dated docket activity and available links; not every image is online. |
| Disposition | The recorded outcome and date when supplied. |
Only the clerk issues a certified record, and a paid vendor image is not automatically a clerk-certified copy.
Stewart Search Results Missing
A blank Stewart County case lookup calls for a court check, not a conclusion. The matter may sit in Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Lumpkin Municipal Court, Richland Municipal Court, Juvenile Court, or federal court. Juvenile and sealed matters can also be lawfully absent. A citation may rest with a city or Probate clerk instead of Superior Court.
No result? Read the court name on the citation, summons, or notice, then contact that court’s clerk.
Do not treat a missing online row as proof that the case was never filed or has ended.
Mona Dudley, the Clerk of Superior Court, keeps Stewart Superior civil and felony records. Probate, Magistrate, and municipal clerks each keep their own. For an in-person check, the courthouse sits at 1764 Broad Street in Lumpkin, and the main number is (229) 838-6769. Confirm a direct office line before you travel. The county posts no public-terminal procedure, local fax, or drop-box process.
Stewart County Case Calendar Check
When you need a hearing date, search the Southwestern Circuit calendar on its own. Its Stewart pages list settings by judge and by civil or criminal category, not as a case query. A blank posted table just means no rows are displayed. It does not prove the case has no setting.
County vs Statewide Case Search
Georgia has no single statewide public docket search box. The E-Access page works as a provider directory, and choosing Stewart Superior Court routes you to PeachCourt. Lower courts can use other channels, and Georgia separately states that no central traffic-citation database exists.
| Georgia routing layer | Stewart court channel |
|---|---|
| E-Access confirms a court and provider | PeachCourt serves Stewart Superior Court |
| Not a statewide result database | Account-gated case and filing tools |
| Does not merge all lower courts | Probate, Magistrate, and city clerks keep separate matters |
| Good for finding the approved path | Good for a known Superior case number |
Treat a Stewart County case search as a routing job. The statewide page points you toward the right office. When the provider does not carry that court or document, the correct clerk fills the gap.
Stewart PeachCourt Access Limits
PeachCourt sets the boundary on what it can hand you. Document age, availability, and exclusions all vary. The clerk keeps the official record no matter what the screen shows. Sealed files, adoption records, and proposed orders that were never signed stay out of ordinary document access. So a Stewart County docket entry can confirm a filing while its image simply is not there. Read PeachCourt's account-access and private-data notice.

That boundary belongs to the vendor, not the court. Mona Dudley's clerk office keeps the official Stewart County court record either way.
Missing an image? PeachCourt has a path for reporting it, and the clerk can follow up from there. Say plainly whether you want a plain copy or a certified one. Ask for a fee estimate before you commit. A written request works best, since it spells out the document. An oral request will reach the office too. Mail and staff email contacts are posted locally; there is no public subscription or terminal process for this.
Stewart County Case Copy Status
A downloadable image is not a certified copy. Two different products. PeachCourt delivers the electronic documents it has, yet Mona Dudley's office stays the custodian of Stewart Superior Court records, and only the clerk can certify what you need for official use. Tell the staff whether your purpose calls for a plain copy or a certified copy, and get a fee estimate first.
Restricted Cases and Access Rules
Some files never show up in an ordinary search. Juvenile, sealed, adoption, and other protected records sit outside normal public Stewart County case results. Georgia court access rules shield them. A vendor cannot loosen what the court restricts. So if a case is missing, the reason may be a legal boundary rather than a glitch.
Ask the clerk if a public docket entry exists at all. Ask what lawful request process governs it. Getting into a restricted file can take a court order, party status, identification, or some other basis the court sets. Clerk staff will walk you through the filing steps, but they cannot give legal advice. Do not try to slip past an account gate or a privacy control.
Stewart Case Lookup Handoff
When a Stewart County docket search online hits a wall, go straight to the office that keeps the record. The custody map tells you where each court case lives. Felony and Superior Court civil filings sit with the Clerk of Superior Court. Probate staff answer for estates, guardianships, licenses, and any traffic cases assigned to them. Magistrate staff hold small claims, dispossessory actions, warrants, and preliminary matters. For city tickets and ordinance cases, the clerks in Lumpkin and Richland are the right stop. Anything federal touching Stewart County belongs to the Middle District of Georgia's Columbus Division and its own federal systems.
Checking a Stewart Superior Court hearing by calendar is different from using PeachCourt case search, since the circuit runs its own schedule; the Stewart County court dates page carries it. Before you call any clerk, gather four things: the exact case number, the full party name, the court, and a rough filing date. That short list lets staff sort a court case number from a Peach number or citation. It routes your request fast.
